Can you feel it yet? There have been signs, the birds have changed their melody from single winter chirps to full out song, the air smells more like earth than snow, and I've been seeing more of our clients walk in wearing Pink, (of all things!), instead of black. But this morning it was confirmed...my Crocus, Hyacinth and Narcissus have broken through the dirt and the snow. It won't be long now before I have fresh blooms to bring in the house, and I just sweet-talked Laura into bringing me some cutting from her forsythia to force.
In Pine Tree, we're getting deliveries everyday of the freshest Spring and Summer accessories and furniture, just in time for the tail-end of our Winter Warm Up Sale. Is it time to change out your heavy winter throws for some pretty pastel spring ones? Or maybe the brown sofa you're tired of looking at every time you walk into the room, for something that brightens up your home? And the floral arrangements that Paulette is designing just make you smile to look at them. My favorite one had scallions, fiddlehead ferns, pea fronds and flowers.
Oh, and don't even get me started on the cute things that Leota is putting out in our Ladies' Boutique. I come home every week with a new jacket, dress or skirt. Yesterday's purchase was a sassy little victorian riding jacket inspired number in olive green with silk ruffles, irresistible!
